Département du Loir-et-Cher Enabling teams to collaborate and deliver 90 services flexibly

Département du Loir-et-Cher, a French public-sector organization responsible for services for 340,000 residents, needed better ways to support collaboration across 1,700 employees spread across 40 workplaces and using different devices. To address this, it worked with Google Cloud Platform and partner Ageona, moving from its legacy email and productivity tools to Google Workspace and launching a new LumApps intranet hosted on Google Cloud.

Google Cloud Platform helped implement a rapid “big bang” migration that moved 1,800 email accounts, 7 million emails, and 1.3 million calendar events over a weekend with no email loss. The new setup enabled shared Google Drives, mobile and remote working, and native intranet integration, while also reducing software costs by replacing legacy applications with tools already included in Workspace licenses.
