Guardforce AI, a Singapore-based security and logistics company, expanded into AI and robotics in 2020 but faced challenges scaling voice-enabled robot services across countries, especially for less spoken languages and varying data privacy requirements. It needed a global, compliant cloud platform to support its Robot-as-a-Service model and improve human-robot interactions; Guardforce AI used Google Cloud Platform products such as Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, Dialogflow, and Compute Engine.

Google Cloud Platform helped Guardforce AI build a unified framework for multilingual voice services, run model training and simulations more efficiently, and deploy solutions across regions with better compliance support. The results were significant: about 60% lower labor costs, up to 20%–40% lower operating costs on some projects, and a product development cycle shortened by half.
