Dáme jídlo Scaling with Google Cloud Platform to deliver more meals

Dáme jídlo is a Czech food-delivery app (part of Delivery Hero) that connects customers with more than 2,000 restaurants. Rapid growth exposed limits in its data‑center–hosted infrastructure, causing regular outages during peak hours, lost orders and revenue, poor visibility into system performance, and difficulty scaling.

Working with Google Cloud Premier Partner Revolgy, Dáme jídlo migrated to Google Cloud Platform—initially a lift‑and‑shift to Compute Engine, then adoption of Cloud SQL, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Storage, IAM, GKE, Container Registry, Stackdriver Monitoring, and automated CI/CD and Cloud Ops. The result: 54.3% faster average response time, 68.8% higher requests‑per‑second, unplanned outages reduced by more than 95%, better monitoring and cost visibility, automatic scaling, and lower infrastructure/DevOps costs.
