Coolblue, one of the top online retailers in the Netherlands and Belgium, was struggling to keep up with rapid 50% year-on-year growth as its on-premises BI and data stack became too complex and slow. The company needed a more integrated, real-time analytics platform to process more data, improve customer insights, and reduce the heavy maintenance burden on its developers, so it turned to Google Cloud Platform products including BigQuery and Google Analytics 360.

Google Cloud Platform helped Coolblue build a modern, fully managed data platform using Google Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, BigQuery, and Google Analytics. The new setup increased analytics processing speed through real-time streaming, enabled faster access to insights, and freed developers from infrastructure maintenance. Some workflows that once took more than eight hours were streamlined, helping Coolblue scale quickly and focus on better customer experiences.
