PCCW Global, a global communications service provider, needed to modernize how enterprises buy bandwidth and interconnect services on demand while simplifying a complex mix of cloud and on-premises systems. Using Google Cloud Platform and its Console Connect platform, PCCW Global set out to automate bandwidth provisioning, improve scalability, and support faster service delivery for customers worldwide.

Google Cloud Platform helped PCCW Global build Console Connect on Google Kubernetes Engine and move its microservices and workloads to a cloud-native architecture. The result was a seamless migration of more than a million lines of code in minutes, weekly releases instead of every six months, lower total cost of ownership, and faster settlements for distributed ledger use cases from four weeks to four minutes.
