Preview of the Conductor Tech Case Study

Conductor Technologies Giving studios battle-tested cloud rendering backed by Google Cloud Platform

Conductor Technologies, a company in the media and entertainment industry, needed to help visual effects and animation studios offload demanding render workloads to the cloud. Their challenge was to provide these studios with a cost-effective and scalable alternative to expensive, over-provisioned on-premises render farms, using Google Cloud Platform.

The solution leveraged Google Cloud's Compute Engine with Custom Machine Types and Preemptible VMs to provide optimized, on-demand rendering. This allowed Conductor Technologies to offer burst capacity of over 200,000 cores and render millions of core hours for major films. The results empowered studios of all sizes to take on more projects, complete them faster and under budget, effectively leveling the playing field with larger competitors through Google Cloud.
