Comune di Padova, the local administrative division serving more than 400,000 citizens in Padua and surrounding boroughs, needed a way to provide instant, up-to-date air quality and traffic restriction information without overwhelming staff. It turned to Google Cloud Platform, working with Esosphera, to address high call volumes and complex citizen queries that had been flooding its information services.

Google Cloud Platform helped implement Gaia, an AI-powered voicebot using Cloud Natural Language and Text-to-Speech to handle calls 24/7 and send follow-up texts with portal links. The solution successfully resolves 96% of incoming contacts, handled about 2,000 calls in one season, and saves municipal workers around 20 hours per week, allowing them to focus on higher-value services.
