Compass IoT is an Australian road intelligence company that uses connected vehicle data to improve road safety, infrastructure, and city planning. Using Google Cloud Platform, Compass IoT built an autoscaling, microservices-based analytics platform that ingests millions of vehicle data points in real time and delivers insights through dashboards for cities and transport operators. The solution enabled data pipelines with latencies under 100 milliseconds and helped the company scale from 200,000 monitored vehicles in 2018 to more than 1.5 million today, while also supporting global expansion and GDPR-compliant operations.
