Case Study: Coin achieves faster internal app development and IT cost savings with Google Cloud Platform

Coin, Italy’s leading department store chain with 37 shops and 116 Coincasa stores, needed a faster, more structured way to digitize internal processes and reduce reliance on external suppliers. Using Google Cloud Platform, including AppSheet, Coin built internal apps to replace manual, email-driven workflows and to better manage store openings, maintenance requests, approvals, and other operational tasks.

Google Cloud Platform helped Coin deploy more than a dozen apps that eliminated paper-based work, sped up manager workflows, and made internal production up to 20x faster than using outside vendors. The company also reported savings of €25,000 to €50,000 per app and expects up to 40% IT Opex savings as it continues moving data and store infrastructure to the cloud.
