Quizlet, the world's largest online learning community, was facing challenges with its previous cloud provider due to explosive growth. The platform needed a more robust infrastructure to handle scaling, improve performance, and eliminate frequent DDoS attacks that were preventing students from accessing their study materials. To solve this, Quizlet chose to migrate its operations to Google Cloud Platform.

By leveraging Google Cloud products like Compute Engine and BigQuery, and integrating with its partner Cloudflare, Quizlet achieved a complete solution. Google Cloud Platform provided the scalable and cost-effective core technology, while Cloudflare eliminated DDoS attacks and improved global performance through caching. This combined solution saved Quizlet over 10TB of daily bandwidth and cut its network egress bill by more than 50 percent.
