A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Cloud 66 is a US–UK developer tools company that provides container management and app lifecycle products (Skycap and Maestro) for hybrid and multicloud environments. As a small provider with 12,000 developers and nearly 4,000 deployed workloads, it needed a low‑maintenance, globally available managed Kubernetes solution to run its own operations, handle multiple daily demand peaks across time zones, and prove its container pipeline and operations tooling to customers.
By moving its stack to Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud 66 leveraged managed services and autoscaling to meet global demand and simplify operations. The switch improved agility and enabled zero‑downtime deployments while cutting computing costs by 70%, validating its pipeline and operations products and feeding product improvements back into its platform.
