Classi Increasing security in education with Google Cloud and Security Command Center

Classi, the Japanese educational platform used by more than 3,000 junior and senior high schools, needed to strengthen cloud security after a 2020 security incident while also supporting data analytics and new feature development. Using Looker alongside Google Cloud tools such as BigQuery, Classi wanted a more standardized way to manage risks, vulnerabilities, and monitoring across its growing environment.

Looker helped Classi improve visibility into security findings and analytics workflows, while the broader Google Cloud setup with Security Command Center automated risk and threat detection, ticket creation, and administrator alerts. As a result, Classi reduced scan results to about one-third after tuning, expanded coverage to application and container layers, and created a more secure, unified security process across the company.
