Case Study: CERC achieves greater agility and scalable growth with Google Cloud and Looker

CERC processes 100,000 transactions per second with its infrastructure in Google Cloud

CERC, a Brazilian financial infrastructure company, needed a flexible, secure cloud foundation to support rapid experimentation and a major regulatory project for registering credit and debit card receivables with Brazil’s Central Bank. Using Looker-linked Google Cloud services such as Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and BigQuery, CERC aimed to modernize its microservice-based platform and improve scalability, availability, and data processing.

Looker’s analytics capabilities, together with Google Cloud support, helped CERC build a solution that authenticates receivables and enables access to commercial entity data through one-click actions and APIs. The results included deploying the Central Bank-mandated project in a few months, going fully live in June 2021, and improving performance and resource optimization after migrating from Cloud SQL to Cloud Spanner, while gaining the confidence of 99.999% availability and elastic scalability.
