CBcloud Driving a brighter future for delivery people with Google Maps Platform

CBcloud, a Japanese logistics platform, wanted to improve the lives of delivery drivers while solving inefficient manual route planning, address lookup, and job matching. Using Google Cloud Platform’s Google Maps Platform, including products like the Places API, Directions API, Geocoding API, and Maps SDKs, CBcloud aimed to speed up delivery planning and make its apps easier to use.

Google Cloud Platform helped CBcloud build and run its PickGo and SmaRyu Post apps with dynamic mapping and routing features. The results were significant: distance and price calculations were cut by up to 60%, route planning and parcel loading time dropped by 80%, and the overall delivery planning process was cut in half. CBcloud also reached 55,000 registered drivers, 1,000 carrier contracts, a 99.2% matching rate, and an average driver-matching time of under one minute.
