Causaly developed a research platform to help biomedical scientists quickly extract insights from vast amounts of unstructured scientific text, but needed an easy-to-adopt cloud foundation to build and scale the product. Using Google Cloud Platform, Causaly looked for services that would let its small team move fast without deep cloud or DevOps expertise.

Google Cloud Platform supported Causaly with Compute Engine, App Engine, and the Google for Startups program to run its NLP pipeline, host its database stack, and build a knowledge graph of 240 million evidential statements. The result was a powerful system that helps researchers map epidemiology data, biomarkers, genes, and molecular targets faster and identify potential treatment options more quickly.
