Cathay Financial Holdings Offering a one-stop digital financial service platform with Apigee

Cathay Financial Holdings, a leading Taiwanese finance holding company serving more than 14.5 million customers, wanted to move its subsidiaries’ digital financial services online and create a one-stop platform. The company turned to Google Cloud Platform, using Apigee to standardize API management across its banking, insurance, and investment businesses while meeting strict information security and regulatory requirements.

Google Cloud Platform helped Cathay Financial Holdings launch CaaS (Cathay as a Service) in July 2021 with a cloud-ready, scalable architecture built on Apigee, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring. The new platform sped up development, improved API efficiency, enabled faster service delivery, reduced operational costs, and helped the company handle traffic surges and troubleshoot issues more quickly.
