A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Catalant is a Boston-based SaaS marketplace that connects enterprises with 45,000+ independent consultants and boutique firms to source business and technology expertise on demand. After running on VMs with another cloud provider, Catalant faced operational complexity, scalability limits and occasional customer-facing downtime that threatened global expansion and slowed feature delivery.
Catalant migrated to Google Cloud Platform—leveraging Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL and Stackdriver—to containerize and autoscale its platform. The move eliminated customer-facing downtime, enabled up to 30 daily deployments (vs. biweekly), reclaimed 80% of DevOps time for strategic work, and delivered twice the capacity at half the cost while improving security and performance.
