Carussel Providing a scalable infrastructure for clients from Moscow to Madeira

Carussel is a Hungary-based provider of CMS-driven dealership websites, stock-management tools and digital marketing solutions used by nearly 1,000 dealerships across 30 markets from Russia to Madeira. Faced with aging in‑house servers in Budapest, slow page loads (up to 3 seconds) and a cumbersome deployment process, the company needed a scalable, easy-to-manage infrastructure to improve response times and enable expansion beyond Europe.

Working with partner Aliz, Carussel migrated to Google Cloud Platform — using Google Compute Engine VMs, Cloud Load Balancing, CDN and Cloud DNS — with zero downtime. The move halved page load times (3.0s → 1.43s), raised its site speed rating (53% → 82%), streamlined automated deployments and provided on‑demand capacity for tests and traffic spikes, enabling faster innovation (e.g., an App Engine–based AdWords app) and easier market expansion.
