BukuWarung Modernizing accounting for Indonesian MSMEs in the cloud

BukuWarung, an Indonesian fintech startup founded in 2019, set out to digitize bookkeeping and payments for millions of MSMEs across Indonesia. As its data volumes and regulatory needs grew, BukuWarung needed a scalable, easy-to-use platform to support reporting, analytics, investor visibility, and product growth. It turned to Google Cloud Platform products including BigQuery, Looker, and Firebase, with support from Searce.

Google Cloud Platform helped BukuWarung build a centralized data foundation and improve application tracking and onboarding. The company now ingests 70+ data points per merchant for every 100 transactions, supports up to 500 team members without adding analytics headcount, spends 30% less time on ad hoc requests, and keeps unexpected cost spikes below 15%. Firebase-driven experiments also helped raise onboarding conversion from 70% to 90%, while payment volumes grew tenfold in the last year.
