Revolut, the fast-growing global financial superapp, needed an infrastructure that could keep up with rapid expansion while maintaining strong security, stability, and compliance. As its customer base and transaction volume grew, the company turned to Google Cloud Platform products such as Compute Engine, Cloud APIs, and Identity and Access Management to support automated deployments and scalable operations.

Google Cloud Platform helped Revolut build an infrastructure that can scale vertically and horizontally in minutes with zero downtime, while enabling secure separation of environments and fully automated “infrastructure as code” management. A major measurable impact was backup speed: multi-terabyte database snapshots were reduced from up to 20 hours to around 5 minutes, improving efficiency and resilience while supporting more than 20 million customers and 250 million transactions a month.
