BrightInsight, a U.S.-based provider of a regulated digital health platform for biopharma and medtech, needed a secure, scalable way to manage a complex microservices architecture and the APIs connecting connected medical devices, apps, and analytics. Built on Google Cloud Platform, BrightInsight used Google Cloud services including Apigee to simplify API management while meeting strict healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Google Cloud Platform implemented Apigee and other cloud services to reduce API complexity, protect health data, and support high-performance operations across BrightInsight’s platform. The results included handling more than 20 million API calls per day with average response times of under 0.5 seconds, while improving scalability, reliability, and time to market for BrightInsight’s customers.
