Breuninger, the retail company behind Breuninger.com, was looking to make better use of data across its complex IT landscape and online storefront as e-commerce sales grew. Working with Looker and Google Cloud-managed services, the customer wanted faster analytics, smoother integration across systems, and a more flexible way to bring together data from SAP, on-premises databases, and other sources.

Looker helped Breuninger unify data and build real-time insights by organizing analytics around BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Google Kubernetes Engine, and related pipeline tools. As a result, Breuninger loaded nearly 90% of its business data into BigQuery, accelerated reporting, reduced reporting costs versus SAP, and gained real-time customer insights that improved forecasting and product availability decisions.
