A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Breaktime, a Taiwan-based data consulting company, needed a more reliable and scalable platform for its Zi Power Ads AI advertising allocation system, which helps publishers automate ad auctions and boost revenue. The company had faced stability issues on its previous infrastructure as traffic grew, and it turned to Looker-related Google Cloud analytics capabilities as part of its broader modernization effort.
With Looker and Google Cloud tools implemented through partner iKala, Breaktime migrated to a new architecture built on Google Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Cloud Load Balancing, and Cloud CDN, with monitoring and security added for resilience. The result was a stable, 99.99%-plus available environment supporting around 10 million page views and 10,000 pages analyzed per day, covering 8 million users, 1.6 billion ad impressions, and 1,300 domains; Breaktime also reports that publishers using the system increase revenue by an average of 142%.
