Brainy Bunch: Controlling key system costs and boosting collaboration

Brainy Bunch International Islamic Montessori, supported by its tech arm Brainy Apps, is an education provider aiming to grow from 105 campuses (6,000 students) in 2017 to 6,500 campuses and 1 million students by 2030. To scale across 24 subsidiaries and preserve critical services like its billing system, the organisation needed a reliable, cost‑effective, and easy‑to-manage IT platform that would support parent communication, registrations and digital learning.

Working with partner Matrix Connexion, Brainy Apps migrated five core systems (Brainy Bills, School Registration, Aflix, Brainy Parent Apps and Brainy Maths) to Google Cloud and deployed G Suite for collaboration. The move, completed in under two months, cut quarterly infrastructure costs for the billing system by 42%, delivered near‑100% availability with no downtime, reduced infrastructure complexity and resource use, and improved document collaboration and operational scalability as the group readies App Engine and BigQuery for future growth.
