Booksy Helping beauty and health service providers stay a cut above the rest

Booksy, a Poland-based appointment management platform with more than 10 million active users in 25 countries, was growing at about 100% a year and struggling with an on-premises, monolithic infrastructure that was hard to maintain and slow to scale. As demand increased, especially around peak events and COVID-19 disruptions, Booksy needed a more flexible way to support global growth and faster development on Google Cloud Platform.

Google Cloud Platform helped Booksy migrate to a scalable cloud architecture using services like Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and Compute Engine, with support from OChK. The new setup reduced deployment bottlenecks, let teams work more independently, eliminated much of the extra server capacity they had been leasing, and helped Booksy handle surges such as a 700% spike in activity during lockdown. Booksy now processes over 200,000 bookings per day and is handling twice as much traffic as before the migration.
