Case Study: Bioz accelerates scientific research and reduces trial-and-error in experiments with Google Cloud Platform

A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Bioz Case Study

Bioz Applying artificial intelligence to accelerate scientific research

Bioz is an AI search engine for scientific experimentation founded by Dr. Karin Lachmi to solve a common pain point in life sciences: researchers spending vast amounts of time reading papers line-by-line to identify which reagents, assays, or protocols worked. By indexing 27 million articles and 300 million products, Bioz gives scientists fast access to detailed, evidence‑based product and protocol information and confidence scores so they can plan experiments more intelligently.

Built on Google Cloud, Bioz uses Cloud Natural Language, Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Bigtable and Cloud Storage to convert unstructured articles into structured, searchable knowledge (about 5,000 new articles added daily). The platform’s AI, Bioz Stars scoring and ZERO BIAS approach deliver rapid, reliable recommendations that reduce trial-and-error, lower costs, scale automatically for peaks in demand, and — by one account — can replace up to six months of validation work with a two‑second search, accelerating academic and drug‑discovery research.
