BharatPe Scaling data effortlessly for analytics and AI with Google Cloud to promote digital payments

BharatPe, the Indian fintech company serving over 10 million small merchants, needed to scale its data operations and improve real-time decision-making for payments, lending, fraud detection, and marketing. Using Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery and Vertex AI, BharatPe wanted to replace legacy systems that struggled with large-scale queries and slower reporting.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a fully managed, serverless data and AI stack that let BharatPe process up to 80TB of data per day, run more than 1,000 workflows, and query years of data in seconds. The result was a major boost in speed and automation: loan approval turnaround dropped from two days to five seconds, quarterly reporting became much faster, and the company improved fraud detection, credit decisions, and customer engagement.
