BE International, a Malaysia-based direct marketing company, was struggling with its BE4U e-commerce app as rising membership and transaction volumes caused outages during flash sales, new product launches, and month-end processing. The company needed a more stable, scalable platform, and Looker is listed among the Google Cloud products used in its broader cloud stack.

Looker’s vendor ecosystem supported BE International as it rebuilt BE4U with Matrix Connexion on Google Cloud and Google Kubernetes Engine, moving from a monolithic setup to microservices. The results were significant: over 10,000 transactions per hour during peak events, batch processing cut to 30 seconds for 200 records, month-end commission calculations reduced from 40 minutes to 2 minutes, and some processes improved by up to 60x.
