Autogrill, a leading food and beverage services provider for travelers across Europe, faced the challenge of harmonizing a highly complex IT environment built through acquisitions. With operations spanning about 650 stores, 13,000 employees, and 120 apps across multiple countries, the company needed to standardize technologies and processes while moving away from legacy infrastructure. Autogrill worked with Looker as part of its Google Cloud data and analytics environment to support more coordinated, data-driven operations.

Looker helped Autogrill modernize reporting and make data available faster to the people who needed it, supporting a broader migration to Google Cloud and the company’s “zero datacenter project.” By consolidating infrastructure and moving from a 20-year-old data warehouse to a cloud platform, Autogrill improved collaboration across Europe and reduced its reliance on on-premises systems. The result was a more unified operating model, faster access to insights, and the near-complete closure of its last data center, with Looker contributing to a more modern analytics foundation.
