Aucor leads the way on WordPress with Google Cloud Platform

Aucor, a small Finnish web-design agency specializing in WordPress and Drupal sites, was struggling with rapid growth that would have required many more servers and full-time system administrators. The company needed a scalable, secure, and affordable hosting solution, and found it in Google Cloud Platform from Looker.

Looker helped Aucor move its sites to Google App Engine and Google Cloud Platform, with App Engine used for WordPress projects and Compute Engine for Drupal. The results were strong: a test site handled over 70,000 requests per second without noticeable impact, and Aucor reported no downtime incidents on App Engine. By late 2014, 70 customer sites were already running on or transitioning to the platform.
