ASML, a leader in the microchip industry, needed to speed up software testing that was taking anywhere from two hours to a full day because of limited on-premises capacity. To support faster innovation and continuous integration, ASML turned to Google Cloud Platform, using cloud infrastructure and Google Kubernetes Engine as part of its development environment.

Google Cloud Platform helped ASML migrate from an on-premises setup to a serverless architecture, with Rackspace and Google Cloud Consulting Services supporting the transition. In just six weeks, ASML moved from a Kubernetes-based project to multiple serverless projects, eliminating the need to maintain clusters and delivering reliable test results in under an hour.
