ASL Aviation Holdings DAC Strategically consolidating its systems using Google Cloud

ASL, a global aviation services group based in Ireland, needed to simplify a highly fragmented IT environment spread across seven sites and lower rising costs. Working with Google Cloud Platform, ASL chose to consolidate its information systems into a single cloud-based site to improve control, reliability, and security.

Google Cloud Platform helped ASL migrate more than 90% of its systems in about six months by using a lift-and-shift approach and services such as Google Cloud Bare Metal for Oracle Workloads. The result was a more resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure with significantly reduced IT complexity, and ASL also reported meaningful cost reduction and freed-up IT teams.
