Preview of the Arab Bank Case Study

Arab Bank Driving innovation and an app dev revolution with Google Cloud

Arab Bank, headquartered in Amman, Jordan, is a major financial institution with more than 600 branches across five continents. Facing legacy systems, regulatory data-residency constraints, and pressure to deliver faster digital services to a growing mobile-first customer base, the bank turned to Google Cloud Platform, including Google Anthos and Apigee, to modernize its hybrid infrastructure and speed up innovation.

Using Google Cloud Platform, Arab Bank built a more agile, secure hybrid environment for cloud-native apps, API integrations, and mobile banking journeys such as onboarding, mortgage applications, and instant loans. The results included faster application development and deployment, more than 80% of active retail customers in Jordan using mobile banking, 60–65% of customers completing onboarding via the mobile app, and delivery timelines compressed from about one year to roughly three months.
