A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Ananda Development is a Bangkok‑based residential high‑rise developer founded in 1999. Handover inspections—when buyers check units before signing acceptance—were manual, paper‑based, time‑consuming and error‑prone, with inspectors checking hundreds of items per day. This slowed revenue recognition, strained buyer trust, and created large manpower costs across multiple projects.
To solve this, Ananda built a mobile property‑transfer app using Google Cloud Speech‑to‑Text and Vision APIs to support a simple walk‑by, capture‑submit inspection workflow (voice notes, photos, real‑time reports and work orders). Within seven months the app was deployed across about six projects (~4,000 units) and collected 3,000–4,000 findings; within three months it saved ~130 inspection hours and about 4 million THB (≈US$120,000), improved accuracy (>90% speech recognition for Thai), delivered instant reports to buyers, centralized operational data, and established a foundation for ML‑based defect detection and wider digital transformation.
