A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Crystalloids, an Amsterdam-based analytics firm, partnered with Center Parcs Europe to help the resort operator forecast visitor numbers, optimize accommodation pricing and target marketing more effectively. Center Parcs was struggling with slow, manual reporting and BI tools that couldn’t scale—analysts relied on Excel and time-consuming queries that made tracking booking trends and preparing timely pricing decisions difficult.
Crystalloids built a cloud application using Google App Engine, Google BigQuery Service, Cloud Storage and the Google Visualization API to provide a simple, click-driven interface that runs interactive analyses in seconds. The solution eliminated the need for nearly $800,000 in upfront hardware, cut operational costs by up to $150,000 per year, shrank report times from a day to seconds, reduced maintenance overhead and enabled faster, revenue-boosting pricing and marketing decisions.
