Alleviating chronic musculoskeletal pain using AI-driven solutions

Svaas, a healthcare company focused on relieving chronic musculoskeletal pain, needed a safer, more personalized way to onboard patients and guide them through exercise-based treatment. Using Google Cloud Platform and its AI capabilities, Svaas built MyFlexa, an app designed for use with healthcare practitioners that recommends treatment plans based on each user’s pain profile and conditions.

Google Cloud Platform helped Svaas implement pose detection and computer-vision features, including MediaPipe and Pose Landmarker, to monitor exercise angles and form and provide real-time feedback through a phone camera. The solution has already been piloted with more than 3,000 patients in Russia, with plans to expand to 50,000 patients in 2025, while also improving data collection for practitioners and future model refinement.
