AI paves the learning path for visually impaired children

Bethel China worked with Google Cloud Platform to improve learning materials for visually impaired children. The challenge was that Google volunteers were manually creating teaching videos with conventional editing software, which was labor-intensive, inflexible, and required new volunteers to learn complex tools from scratch.

Google Cloud Platform implemented an AI-driven workflow using Gemini 1.5 Flash, Vertex AI Imagen, MediaPipe, and Text-to-Speech to automatically generate scripts, images, image processing, and narration for teaching videos. The solution was integrated into the “VisAid Learn” platform, making video creation easier through a web interface and significantly improving efficiency, flexibility, and output.
