A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Unilog, a global B2B e-commerce and product-data management provider, was constrained by an on‑premises private cloud that required provisioning hundreds of VMs for each of its ~350 customers. That model made client onboarding slow (up to five days), increased maintenance and support costs, limited scalability and performance, and left some customers wary about security and cloud adoption.
Working with Google Cloud Premier Partner Agosto, Unilog migrated to Google Cloud Platform—running application, web and database servers on Compute Engine and catalogs on Cloud Storage—and adopted GCP security features. The move cut client setup time from five days to one (an 80% reduction), accelerated page loads by ~25%, raised uptime to well above 99%, reduced customer infrastructure demands by about 25%, lowered support costs, and freed engineering resources for strategic work while improving licensing, customer satisfaction, and market value.
