Case Study: Aerospike achieves 1 million writes per second with Google Cloud Platform

A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Aerospike Case Study

Aerospike Hits One Million Writes Per Second with just 50 Nodes on Google Compute Engine

Aerospike, an open-source flash-optimized in-memory NoSQL database provider, wanted to prove it could handle extreme throughput, consistently low latency, and real-time processing for modern cloud applications. Using Google Cloud Platform’s Google Compute Engine, Aerospike benchmarked its database against a large-scale workload to see how well it could support high-volume read and write operations at cloud scale.

Google Cloud Platform enabled Aerospike to scale efficiently with a smaller, simpler-to-operate cluster. The benchmark showed 1 million writes per second with just 50 servers and 1 million reads per second with 10 servers, along with consistent low latency and strong price/performance. The results demonstrated linear scalability and made real-time, high-scale applications more economically viable.
