ADEO Giving a global DIY leader the building blocks to become a digital home improvement hub

ADEO, a global home improvement retailer operating across 15 countries, needed to speed up digital transformation and give employees faster access to infrastructure for building new applications. Using the Google Cloud Platform and support from SFEIR, ADEO wanted to replace slow on-premises provisioning, which could take up to four days, with a more agile development environment.

Google Cloud Platform helped ADEO build an internal “Landing Zone” platform using services like App Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Virtual Private Cloud. The result was provisioning in 20 minutes instead of up to four days, 45% lower infrastructure costs for the rebuilt OPUS app, and better tracking, security, and scalability across projects—helping ADEO accelerate time to market and improve customer service.
