Case Study: Adcash achieves real-time auto-scaling and 10-second VM provisioning with Google Cloud Platform

A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Adcash Case Study

Adcash targets instant ads to anyone, anywhere with simple scaling on Google Cloud Platform

Adcash is a global advertising trading platform (170 employees) that delivers targeted ads to about 200 million unique users across 100,000 publishers daily. Its business runs real-time auctions in under a millisecond and processes up to 150,000 bid requests per second, so unpredictable, timezone-driven traffic spikes and manual, slow scaling from its prior provider were creating performance, provisioning and operational challenges.

By moving to Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Load Balancing, Stackdriver and Deployment Manager) Adcash automated autoscaling, reduced VM provisioning from ~20 minutes to about 10 seconds, and handled traffic from servers close to demand. The result: faster, more responsive bidding with lower latency, secure storage of billions of data points for better machine‑learning targeting, cost and operational savings, and more time for the team to focus on product innovation and ROI for advertisers and publishers.
