WBC, the UK’s largest supplier of branded fine wine, hamper and deli packaging, relied on its website as the primary sales channel and wanted to understand visitor behavior and fix tracking to guide improvements. After implementing Google Analytics, Periscopix discovered that strong repeat-customer performance was masking very low conversion rates among new visitors, and that the homepage made it hard for new users to find products and categories.

Periscopix performed a full analytics audit, set up site search, event tracking and goals, used advanced segments to isolate new versus returning visitors, and ran a three-month A/B test of a redesigned homepage that highlighted popular products and surfaced hidden media. The homepage variation lifted engagement by 2.2% and drove a 12.2% increase in e-commerce conversion rate, prompting WBC to adopt the new design and plan further A/B tests.
