Magazine Luiza, one of Brazil’s largest retail chains with more than 600 stores and an e-commerce site offering about 35,000 products, needed to simplify measurement and management of its Google AdWords campaigns. A large number of tags handled by IT made conversion tracking slow and error-prone, hampering campaign optimization and taking weeks to deploy changes.
Working with Agência CASA, the company implemented Google Tag Manager, shifted tag control to three marketers, and reduced tag deployment time from roughly two weeks to as little as five minutes. They deployed 23 tags, enabled Dynamic Remarketing and auto-conversion tools, and as a result improved AdWords ROI by about 30%, boosted site speed by 8%, and freed IT to focus on strategic tasks.
