Westwing, founded in 2011, is a leading international ecommerce shopping club for home and living products. As customers increasingly research and buy across desktop, smartphone and tablet, Westwing needed to understand cross-device usage and align marketing decisions with true customer purchase paths.
Westwing upgraded to Universal Analytics Premium, adopted the User ID for cross-device reporting, implemented Google Tag Manager and enabled cross-account AdWords conversion tracking. These changes improved data quality and page speed (average load time down 18%), revealed that many desktop purchases (about 10% in Brazil) began on mobile or tablet—prompting reallocation of marketing spend—and reduced tagging errors and development overhead for faster, more accurate marketing measurement.
