Technologia, a Montreal-based IT training firm that has trained over 70,000 people, had long used paid search but wanted to understand which conversions were truly influenced by cost-per-click activity before the final sale. Working with Adviso, a Google Analytics Certified Partner, they set out to move beyond last-click attribution and see the full customer paths to purchase.
Adviso implemented Google Analytics’ Multi-Channel Funnels and used the Top Paths report to track all touch points over a 30-day window. They discovered that 18% of sales paths included paid ads and that paid advertising influenced 57% more revenue than last-click reporting indicated; as a result Technologia nearly doubled its ad budget and saw online conversions rise by 120%.
