Playdots, a New York–based mobile games studio best known for Two Dots, was spending too much time managing its ad mediation waterfall and worried brand advertisers had limited access to its inventory. Seeking a solution that would reduce manual mediation work and prepare for real‑time bidding, Playdots tested Google AdMob mediation in Two Dots.

Playdots implemented Google AdMob mediation (including Ad Network Optimization), rolling changes out on Android then iOS and monitoring KPIs. The result was a 28% uplift in ad revenue, a 21% increase in ARPDAU, a 60% rise in eCPMs outside the U.S., and a 68% boost in Android ad revenue in rest‑of‑world markets, while significantly cutting the time spent managing mediation.
