Kongregate uses AdMob to boost revenue with average $30 CPM

Kongregate, a San Francisco–based indie games platform, wanted to diversify and grow ad revenue while preserving player experience. To evaluate a trusted monetization partner, Kongregate tested Google AdMob’s rewarded video ads in a single title to measure ARPDAU, eCPM, fill rate and completion compared with their existing networks.

Kongregate integrated Google AdMob’s rewarded ads into Star Trek Trexels II’s mediation waterfall and offered meaningful in-game rewards (revives, currency, XP multipliers). The test delivered a 90% global fill rate, a 95% ad completion rate and an average eCPM of $30, prompting Kongregate to roll AdMob out to four more games, including AdVenture Capitalist and AdVenture Communist.
