Independent app developer doubles revenue with AdMob mediation

Arabic Dictionary, developed by Mahmud Ahsan, had millions of downloads but struggled to convert free users into revenue. To improve monetization he adopted Google AdMob, implementing AdMob mediation and later full‑screen interstitial ads to better monetize his large user base.

Using Google AdMob’s mediation, interstitials, ad network optimization and Live CPM, Arabic Dictionary prioritized the highest eCPM demand and improved ad performance—mediation raised revenue ~30–35% over AdMob alone, ANO/Live CPM added another ~20–30%, click‑through rate on interstitials was over 5× that of banners and CPM about 10× higher, and overall revenue doubled, with AdMob now generating 60% of the app’s ad income.
