Fingersoft uses AdMob in-app purchases to make the most of breakout hit Hill Climb Racing

FingerSoft, creator of the hit game Hill Climb Racing, needed a way to monetize rapid growth while balancing in‑app purchases (IAP) with ad revenue without harming gameplay. The team turned to Google AdMob, implementing AdMob banner ads and AdMob house ads to both generate revenue and cross‑promote their apps.

Using Google AdMob, FingerSoft placed non‑disruptive bottom banner ads, offered coin purchases to remove ads, and ran house ads across its portfolio to drive installs. The results included nearly 100% fill rate and solid eCPM, ad requests up to 500% in six months, Hill Climb Racing surpassing 500 million downloads (with Hill Climb Racing 2 over 100 million), and combined ad + IAP income that funded further development.
