Dreamotion, a Seoul-based game studio, faced underperforming rewarded ad revenue for its title Road to Valor and low eCPMs that left ads contributing only about 10% of revenue. To address this, the team turned to Google AdMob, implementing AdMob rewarded ads alongside a rethink of their monetization mix and rewarded-ad flow.

Dreamotion removed long wait gaps and capped ad views, put Google AdMob first in the waterfall, and rolled out a new rewarded placement in the Shop within a week for a two-week test. The AdMob implementation doubled ARPDAU, increased ad revenue 2.5x, and raised average CPM by roughly 79%, all without harming retention or in‑app purchase performance.
